The CultureRoad Mentor Ethos
Our mentors model empathy, respect, and service.

1. Be in Service of the Other Person

Support reflection and growth, not direction or correction.

2. Mentoring ≠ Advice-Giving

Use open questions to guide thinking:

“What options do you see?”
“What feels most aligned with your goals?”

3. Avoid Pushing Your Ideology

Do not promote personal beliefs (religious, political, or spiritual).

4. Do Not Judge

You’ll mentor people from different backgrounds—meet them with curiosity and care.

5. Listen 2–3x as Much as You Talk

Active listening builds trust, belonging, and clarity.

6. Share Thoughtfully

Offer resources, insights, or examples that expand perspective, not prescribe action.

7. Practice Boundaries

Be reliable and professional; ask for support from the CultureRoad Team if unsure how to handle a situation.

Great mentors don’t have all the answers—they create space for discovery.
